To return to your path
you must step off the treadmill
of expectation, quota, metric
that drives you heartsick
and plumps the master's spreadsheet cells.

Find that track to the space
between the lines
that you can call your own.

Close the door.
Have a seat.
"How are you today?"

And the symphony begins
in the sheltered, protected sacred islands
in the stream of your practice day.
